Prototypes of the new Wogg50 Chair by Jörg Boner for Wogg
Convincing use of forms meets state-of-the-art processing. The result is a chair of the latest generation.
Light, stackable and multifunctional. Wogg 50 will be presented for the first time at this year’s furniture show in Milan. Here you see some exclusiv impressions of a range of prototypes.

The chair’s design is simple and clear. The seat is bent down on four sides and holds the legs and the back on both outer sides. Molded plywood shapes the aesthetics of the chair. Pressing plywood into shape is an old technique that has seen a rapid development with the introduction of CNC milling technology in recent years. Complex molded parts can be inserted in milling tools and pressed directly with the plywood. This has opened new paths for shape and design. As with the chair Wogg 50, whose structural center is the core pressed in below the seat shell.

‘Sheep’ stool by Rimgaile Samsonite for Green Furniture Sweden

'Sheep' by Rimgaile Samsonite for Green Furniture Sweden
The Swedish designer Rimgaile Samsonite realised this cosy and warming stool for Green Furniture Sweden, a company focused on local and green production, created by the designer Johan Berhin in 2005. ‘Sheep’ is composed of a half log from lumber which cannot be used for planks and a biologically tanned lambskin from Bioskinn. As the logs are crafted undried, the legs, wedged in place, are clamped as the log dries – no glue or screws needed.

'cham' cabinet from the 'dressed-up furniture series' by kamkam

korean studio kamkam has just sent us images of their latest series 'dressed-up furniture', which is literally, furniture dressed with felt
that is decorated with clothing elements such as belts and buttons that are used to close the cabinet doors. the series consists of four items:
a dressed up stool, cham cabinet, cham bench and belt felt.

'cham' cabinet

'cham' is a little cabinet that can be closed by fastening felt belts. an inner magnet fixes the door shut,
that can also be rolled if one wants to leave it open. the furniture is named after the north pole monster 'cham',
a character of a korean novel. 'dressed' with felt, the shape of the furniture 'cham' has a soft appearance.
